Human Trafficking Victims File Lawsuit Against US Military Contractors in Iraq
I know it's a rhetorical, somewhat naive question, but what has our world come to? Is more of this what we have to look forward to if this war continues? There are 12 families who have been left without a wage earner, without a husband, without a father, without a son, and for what? Isn't it bad enough that we are over there fighting a war we should never have gone into? Isn't it enough that almost 5,000 lives have been lost in the fighting? Why are they adding to it doing things like this? These con-men, schemers...Then for 12 of the 13 to lose their lives that way; do you think the contractors would have been shaken by this, and done something good, like let the last one go?? Oh no, they take him and make him work for almost 15 months before allowing him to return to his home. This is disgraceful. I want to rant and scream and hit someone, but who? What is it going to take to make someone stop this awful mess?

Wasn't KBR a Halliburton division? Don't hit anyone...vote to stop the mccain hundred year war before it has a chance to grow oil fueled legs.
At least they are seeking relief in the 9th circuit. Onw with a fine history of good decisions but then what good is a favorable decision in the light of 12 murdered men who simply wanted to wash dishes?
That is the real problem babes...Who do we yell at? Where is the accountability? What do we do with all this pent up frustration and rage and hurt? I truly don't know...
Walking Man, I hear so many people saying stupid things like "Since Hilary didn't win the nomination, I'm going to vote for McCain" or even worse they're not going to vote at all, and it makes me angry just because of what you just said. We have to vote to stop the ravages going on in this country NOW, and being all emotional about your political choice isn't going to bring our soldiers home, it isn't going to find us alternative oil sources or lower the price of gas, it isn't going to give the people fighting to keep their homes a hope in hell of doing so, and it isn't going to help children who die from bad teeth, like 12 year old Deamonte Driver in Feb. of 2007 did.
I know this rant didn't have anything to do with the story, but someone made a comment to me today about not voting because Hilary didn't win, and your comment about McCain's hundred year war just reminded me of it and set me off.
